Not only will it provide our Veterans an excellent opportunity to learn a new skill and work on their health through hard exercise\, but also it will give them a sense of belonging again as they bond with their fellow Veterans on the mat. \nOur mission is to give Veterans the opportunity again to be part of a community while doing something both enjoyable but physically and mentally demanding that will show benefits for mental and physical well-being. \nCoach and Fenix BJJ liaison Greg Cinelli will be Pathway BJJ head coach; Greg is a black belt that has been training with Fenix BJJ since 2015. As a combat Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan\, Greg knows the benefits and possible physical limitations our veterans face when training in BJJ. DESCRIPTION:Clear Path for Veterans New England and Fenix Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is proud to announce a special program for our Veterans and Family Members. \nThe program is for all levels and will initially focus on introducing Veterans to the fundamentals and offering Veterans who already participate in BJJ a place for open mat practice. \nWe at Clear Path and Fenix BJJ understand the importance of comradery and the sense of community that a lot of our Veterans are missing in their lives. \nWe believe in providing Veterans a chance to participate and learn BJJ. Not only will it provide our Veterans an excellent opportunity to learn a new skill and work on their health through hard exercise\, but also it will give them a sense of belonging again as they bond with their fellow Veterans on the mat. \nOur mission is to give Veterans the opportunity again to be part of a community while doing something both enjoyable but physically and mentally demanding will show benefits for mental and physical wellbeing. \nCoach and Fenix BJJ liaison Greg Cinelli will be Pathway BJJ head coach; Greg is a black belt that has been training with Fenix BJJ since 2015. As a combat Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan\, Greg knows the benefits and possible physical limitations our veterans face when training in BJJ. DESCRIPTION:Specific Details of Event (Please provide enough information for people to know all the details of the event): * Classes are FREE to Veterans\, Service Members\, and immediate family members but a $50 deposit is required to secure your spot. Your $50 deposit will be returned to you upon completion of your training. An attendance rate of 80% or higher is required to receive your full refund. \nClasses are open to the public at $250 per registered dog/handler pair. We are currently offering the following indoor classes (in accordance with official COVID-19 guidelines) which are limited to 8 dog/handler pairs per class. \nClasses meet weekly for a period of 5 weeks.
