DESCRIPTION:Clear Path is proud to partner with Kairos Spring Farm located at 2 Marlboro Road\, Stow\, Massachusetts to offer an amazing Equine Program.  This Veteran Program runs from 10 am to 2pm on Fridays.  Each cohort completes a 6 week program = Veterans are expected to attend all sessions.   Nutritious lunch is included. \nKairos follows an evidence based curriculum developed by the Equus Effect Program.  Sessions are a mix of horsemanship and “classroom” time where participants explore elements of emotional agility. \nOur first Veteran cohort finished their session in July and overwhelmingly endorse and recommend this program.  scheduled for the 6 consecutive Fridays\, from September 8th to October 13th. \nLearn more:  Kairos Spring Farm \nTo learn more and reserve a spot in a future Equine session\, please complete the form below and a staff member will reach out to you.

DESCRIPTION:Clear Path for Veterans and Old Glory Millworks proudly offers a Build a flag Workshop to Veterans and Service Members. \nAside from a sense of accomplishment\, a creative activity helps you maintain a healthy brain and can also help deal with a wide range of daily challenges.  The field of art therapy has been used to address chronic pain\, traumatic brain injury\, stress\, and anxiety issues. \nBuild a Flag Workshops are held on the last Wednesday of the month at Old Glory Millworks and run 8:30 AM – 4 PM.  However\, as space is limited in each workshop\, registration is required. \nAfter you register\, you will be contacted about scheduling a future date. SUMMARY:Playing Native American Style Flute
DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Native American Style Flute is an 8-week program that will provide veterans (and their family members) the opportunity to participate in an activity that includes mindful awareness\, creativity\, strengthening fine motor skills\, and exposure to the potential healing benefits of music.  Playing the Native American Style Flute exposes the participant to these skills and characteristics with the additional potential benefits of having fun while connecting with fellow members of their Veteran community. \nThere are two ways to participate.  The in-person class will meet on Thursdays at Clear Path for Veterans from 1:00 – 2:00. A Zoom class will also meet on Thursdays from 10:00 – 11:00. \nYou do not need to have prior musical experience.  There is no need to be able to read sheet music or be able to play another instrument. \nEach participant will be given a flute at no cost to the participant and will be guided through a series of lessons where they will learn the basics for playing this instrument.  The course will progress at a pace set by the participants.  They will be given basic instruction\, guidance\, and encouragement as their skills develop. \nThe main purpose is not to teach songs to play but to help each person develop skills so that they can play the music they want to play (the music they have in themselves).  This expression of “heart music” can often be a cathartic release of emotion (the full range of emotion) and can be found to be deeply satisfying to both the player and the listener(s). \n

Not only will it provide our Veterans an excellent opportunity to learn a new skill and work on their health through hard exercise\, but also it will give them a sense of belonging again as they bond with their fellow Veterans on the mat. \nOur mission is to give Veterans the opportunity again to be part of a community while doing something both enjoyable but physically and mentally demanding that will show benefits for mental and physical well-being. \nCoach and Fenix BJJ liaison Greg Cinelli will be Pathway BJJ head coach; Greg is a black belt that has been training with Fenix BJJ since 2015. As a combat Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan\, Greg knows the benefits and possible physical limitations our veterans face when training in BJJ.
