Military/Veterans and their families enjoy a day of apple picking
Clear Path for Veterans New England recently partnered with Jewish Family and Children Services on a Military and Veteran Family Apple Picking Event. A special thanks to Northeast Insurance Agency, Bay State Federal Savings Charitable Foundation, and Wagon Wheel Lexington for making possible the JFCS Shoulder to Shoulder Military Family Apple Picking event at Shelburne Farm on September 17th. These events are so important to building a strong wellness foundation for the Military/Veteran community. JFCS shared responses from a post event survey which shows why it is important.
We had a 110% attendance rate … 111 people attended, 27 families.
100% of those who responded thought the event was good/excellent, and said they liked …
The apple-picking, hay ride, children’s play area, etc.
100% of those who responded said it was very important to them that this was a military family event;
75% of those who responded had attended another Shoulder to Shoulder event prior to this one
When asked what they like about our events:
One of the key things is that the events are military oriented
When asked how they thought the events benefit their families:
It’s great to see other military families and know they go through the same stress and feeling we do …and that we are not alone.
Finally, 50% of those who responded said that they had connected with other families who attended the event!
