The history of the Canteen is personified by the North Platte Canteen (also known as the Service Men’s Canteen in the Union Pacific Railroad Station at NorthPlatte). This Canteen was a lunch counter at the railroad station that provided conversation and home-cooked meals. It is in this spirit that we continue this tradition of bringing a community together through food.
