“This will never happen to another Veteran—not on my watch.”

Every mission worth fighting for begins with a vision. Mine began in 2008, when I was a homeless Veteran, uncertain, isolated, and unsure where to turn. In that moment of crisis, I made a promise to my wife: “This will never happen to another Veteran—not on my watch.”

Today, that promise is becoming a reality through The Veterans Pathway at the Journey Home Campus.

Thanks to the generosity and shared vision of the Sisters of the Presentation, we were given the opportunity to purchase the property that now lights the Pathway forward. Their faith and commitment have laid the foundation for something truly transformative.

For many veterans, homelessness is not the result of bad choices—it’s the consequence of trauma, invisible wounds, and systems that failed them. Mental health challenges, substance use, and social isolation only deepen the crisis. The Veterans Pathway is designed to break that cycle by offering not just shelter, but a true path to healing and stability. This trauma-informed, ADA-compliant, and professionally staffed campus will provide:

• Safe, dignified Emergency and Permanent Supportive Housing

• Three nutritious meals a day and integrated wellness programming

• On-site case management, support services, peer support, and clinical referrals

• A healing environment where dignity is restored and hope is renewed

This isn’t just about housing. It’s about rebuilding lives, restoring purpose, and honoring those who served our country with courage and sacrifice.

But we cannot do it alone.
